Materials: 50 g / 225 m yarn “Pekhorka. Children’s whim "(60% wool" merino ", 40% PAN (fiber)).
Instruments: needles number 2.5; 2 knitting pins.
The first thing to begin is to measure your pet by the following parameters (Fig. 1):
2. Breast volume (in case the abdomen (waist) is more or less in volume, this measure should be removed to link the thing on the figure).
3. The length of the back (measured from the withers and to the place that you seem optimal. In our case, to the tail).
In order to correctly calculate the loops, you need to make a test sample, since the intensity and density of the knitting are individual for each.
We collect 20 loops and knit 1×1 gum. We measure the sample in centimeters. It turns out: 20 loops 8 cm.
Next, do the calculation. Measurements of our model of the Yorkshire Terrier Madonna:
1. Neck volume 28 cm.
2. Breast volume. 34 cm
3. The length of the back is 27 cm.
Description of work
We collect 70 loops. (28/8 = 10. This is 3 times 20 loops + 4 cm 10 loops; 60 + 10 = 70). Knit the desired length with an elastic band 1 x 1 (at your discretion, you can knit 2 x 2).
We have a neck with a cuff of 12 cm. But it is possible without it, then 5-7 cm is enough.
Having finished with a mouth, we do the necessary calculations for knitting the main part of the model.
Dogs have proportions of approximately the same order: half loops. on the back and half on the paws and tummy. In our case it is divided as follows: we subtract 8 loops from the total number (they will be dividing loops between the sleeves, the back and the breast).
We leave 32 loops for the back, and divide 30 loops into 4 parts: 2 sleeves and 2 halves of the breast. 14 loops on 2 sleeves (on 7 loops) and 7 loops on a breast (from them 2 loops edging) turn out.
1st row knit purl loops. Following. facial and make the required loop increase for our volume:
– on the back, add three loops every 8 loops (32 + 3 = 35);
– on the sleeves we add two loops, first every 2, and then every 3 loops (7 + 2 = 9);
– on a breast we add on 1 loop (it turns out 9 loops).
Be careful! It is important to properly distribute the loop at this stage! We describe in detail the process of adding loops.
We knit 3 persons. n. and add 1 persons. n., we do a nakid, we knit 2 persons. n. who separate in front of the sleeve, again nakid, 2 persons. p., add 1 persons. p., 3 persons. n. and again add 1 persons. Clause (7 + 3 = 10 loops), nakid, 2 persons. n., nakid. It turns out raglan sleeve.
Sleeve and second half of breast fit similarly to the first. Seamy row. according to the picture. On the front side, we knit all the front loops, and before and after the dividing loops we do a nakid (so we knit the necessary number of rows until the required volumes are obtained).
Our dress will be with an openwork pattern, which we knit according to the scheme: in the first facial row we do a nakid and knit 2 persons. n. together it turns out a hole (the top of a rhombus). The purse row is knitted from the inside. P.
The second row of the pattern on the front side: before the hole knit 2 faces. together, then 1 person. p., 2 persons. n. together and nakid. The next row out. P.
The fourth row is the front. Again between two petals we knit 2 persons. n. together and do nakid. Thus, we have a diamond of 4 holes. Patterns are distributed evenly throughout the product in a checkerboard pattern.
In order to get a beautiful arrangement of the picture, it is necessary to make a calculation from the middle of the leaf of the dorsal part, the sleeves, etc.
Do not forget at the same time with the pattern to count the loop and do nakida. We knit in this way to the desired volume of the product, that is, until the width of the breast and back does not coincide with the volume of the pet’s chest. In our case it is 34 cm (sleeves are not included in this measurement).
As soon as the dimensions are reached. About the necessary measurements, we proceed to the next stage. We take knitting pins and remove the sleeves on them, fasten them and leave them on demand, and continue to knit everything else according to the same pattern (if the tummy is larger than the breast, then add a few stitches evenly). Knit the desired length of the product. In our case, 27 cm to the tail (Fig. 2).
2-3 cm to the desired length of the product, we begin to close the hinges evenly from the edges of the product. First, 6-7 p., Then 5-6 p. And so several times. At the end we close the last loops, which remained in the middle of the back (approximately 30-35 loops are obtained).
Remove the loops from the pins and dress them with a knitting needle. We knit the required length and end with an elastic band 1 x 1, as on the neck, cutting 4-5 loops.
Knit the sleeves a little shorter than desired so that the animal is more comfortable to walk. From the long sleeves, the legs may jump out and cling to the claws, resulting in damage to the product.
Making a bow. In our case, it is knitted from a yarn darker. We calculate the number of loops according to the width of the bow and knit a desired length with an elastic band. Clamp yarn or ribbon in the middle, form the petals.
We decorate the product to taste. We decided in several rows to crochet the edge of the dress. As a decor, you can sew ribbon. We also wove a pigtail that wears into the neck and is beautifully knotted.
End of work
We straighten the product and iron it through wet gauze, try not to smooth down the sleeves. Carefully steam in parts, but in no case do not iron the neck!
After sew the parts with the same thread, using a large (Gypsy) needle. We make a small assembly in the center of the product by about 3-4 cm, sew a bow there and thread the braid below the neck.
